The Hyundai Retail department, simply put, was a mess. Around the country, dealer groups were firing the agency of record, Innocean. The dealer body was fragmented into seven regions. They all wanted to do their own creative with no national retail voice. I led a team that changed that. First, we went around the country and pitched all of the regions that left. Then, we made a national retail council with representatives from each region. And finally, we made better commercials. Sales increased. Hyundai gained market share. And our dealers, they smile a lot.
